TRANSACTIONS:
The Cavaliers and free agent Sam Merrill re-signed on a multi-year deal. It's a 3 year deal and the 2 years after this year are non-guaranteed. The deal uses the rest of their MLE (according to Chris Fedor).
The Pistons and free agent Eugene Omoruyi re-signed on a 2nd 10 day deal.
Isaiah Hartenstein earned a $350k bonus by hitting his minutes requirement this season of 1,350 and another $350k bonus with the Knicks winning 40 games.

COACHING/FRONT OFFICE:
Georgia Tech hired Celtics assistant coach Damon Stoudamire as head coach. It's a 5 year deal (according to Woj and Pete Thamel).
The Celtics have no immediate plans to replace Damon Stoudamire on their coaching staff (according to Adam Himmelsbach).
Georgia Southern hired Alabama assistant coach Charlie Henry as head coach.
Ole Miss hired Chris Beard as head coach.

The NBA and NBPA are in advanced discussions on a new CBA and the two sides are getting closer to agreeing on a stipulation that a player must play in a minimum number of regular season games to be eligible for major awards. Top NBA and NBPA officials held a Competition Committee meeting Friday to discuss an idea that both sides are jointly motivated on: star players playing in more games, and staying healthy enough so that the NBA can display its best talent night-to-night (according to Shams and Zach Harper).
The Competition Committee meeting Friday was productive. Both sides agree on the concept of setting a number of games that players would need to play in to qualify for awards, but they still need to agree on the number (per Shams and Harper).
In Friday's meeting, players such as CJ McCollum and Chris Paul spoke about how load management sometimes stems from teams wanting players to sit, and team personnel such as coaches and executives agreed (per Shams and Harper).
Both the NBA and NBPA agreed Friday that injuries are also at the crux of star players missing games (per Shams and Harper).
